This rich gluten-free chocolate almond braid makes for a wonderfully indulgent dessert. Treat yourself or serve it for a special occasion!
1 Package of Geefree Puff Pastry Dough
Gluten Free flour for dusting
½ to 1 cup chocolate chips
¼ cup crushed almonds (or any other nut you prefer)
1 egg for egg wash
Bring dough to room temperature. Preheat oven to 400°F.
Dust the countertop. Take 1 sheet of dough, fold in half then half again. Roll out a rectangle approx. ¼” thick.
Sprinkle the chips and the almonds in the center of puff pastry sheet.
Cut the diagonal cuts in puff pastry along each side of chocolate bar.
Braid the strips.
Brush with egg wash.
Bake for 30 minutes.
