Chocolate Almond Braid

This rich gluten-free chocolate almond braid makes for a wonderfully indulgent dessert. Treat yourself or serve it for a special occasion!


  • 1 Package of Geefree Puff Pastry Dough

  • Gluten Free flour for dusting

  • ½ to 1 cup chocolate chips

  • ¼ cup crushed almonds (or any other nut you prefer)

  • 1 egg for egg wash


  • Bring dough to room temperature. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  • Dust the countertop. Take 1 sheet of dough, fold in half then half again. Roll out a rectangle approx. ¼” thick.

  • Place on a greased sheet pan.
  • Sprinkle the chips and the almonds in the center of puff pastry sheet.

  • Cut the diagonal cuts in puff pastry along each side of chocolate bar.

  • Braid the strips.

  • Brush with egg wash.

  • Bake for 30 minutes.
